Harry John Bergner, 87, Village of Bellevue died Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at his home.
He was born September 10, 1920, in Manitowoc to the late Ruben and Martha Bergner. He owned and operated the Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home in Manitowoc and the Wrecza-Bergner Funeral Home in Milwaukee.
On October 16, 1948 he married Lois A. Leschke in Manitowoc. Harry enjoyed golf, fishing, card playing and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Most of all Harry loved the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; four children and their spouses, Larry and Mary Bergner, Manitowoc; Anne and Ken Bahr, Milwaukee; Peg and Ed Houston, Green Bay and Brian and Gina Bergner, Columbus, Ohio: his grandchildren; Lawrence Bergner, Jason Bahr, Heidi (Chris) Bahr Karchnak, Larry (Dr. Caroline Kane) Houston, Stacy Houston (Scott) Wolfe, Brian Bergner, Theresa Bergner and Kristin Bergner. Also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Lucille Bergner, and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorris and John Rappel, all of Manitowoc; a brother-in-law, Dr. Jack (Shirley) Leschke of Oshkosh. Also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Leatrice.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on February 8 for his wife and children. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 16, at St. Matthew´s Church Green Bay at 1:00 PM. Private burial at King Cemetery, King, Wisconsin. To send online condolences, please go to www.ProkoWall.com.
