Ione S. Netols, 89, Green Bay resident, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010 at an area care facility. She was born Aug. 9, 1920 in Green Bay to the late Paul and Harriet (Levinhagen) Couvillion. On May 30, 1952 Ione married William Netols at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. He preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 1998. Ione enjoyed her grandchildren, reading and crafting. Survivors include her three children, Jeffrey (Mary Ann) Netols, Mequon; Susan Smith, Green Bay; Steven (Jean) Netols, DePere; five grandchildren: Tom (Alicia) Smith, Bill Smith, Rachel and Adam Healy-Netols, Daniel Netols; two great grandchildren, Jack Smith, Ben Smith. She is also survived by two sisters, Pat Geniesse and Eileen Krawczyk, both of Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her spouse and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Delforge and Carol Colburn. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Funeral Service 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David H. Hatch officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
