Lois Claire Kaminecki, 84, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on January 10, 2010. She was born in Green Bay to the late Harland and Laura (Roepple) Hintz. Lois was a graduate of Green Bay East High School. She met the love of her life, Chet, at Leights Transportation and they were married on May 26, 1945. Lois was the secretary at Wequiock School for 23 years and also worked for John’s Hallmark after her retirement. She was also an accomplished roller skater and dancer in her younger years. Chet and Lois loved to Polka every Saturday night in Cecil. She was extremely talented with her needlework and found great joy in gifting her creations to family and friends. Lois was a breast cancer survivor for over 14 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Chester Kaminecki and their Westie, Emma; children, Joan (Lee) Collar, Lee Kaminecki, LuAnn (Pat) Davis and Laurie (Mark) Brodhagen; grandchildren, Lee Collar (special friend, Jeanine Belland), Matt (Kristin) Collar, Todd (Becky) Collar, Elizabeth Davis (fiancé, Mike Maggle), Jonathan Davis (special friend, Lacy Latour) and Maggie Brodhagen; great grandchildren, Kayla Burns, Kyle Collar, Jay and Ryan Collar and Camren Collar; sister, Jean (Ken) Schneider; brother, Wayne (Barbara) Hintz; nieces and nephews, Julie and Jeff Starr, Mark and Kathi Senoraske, Peter and Jane Hintz and Mark Hintz; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call at Grace Lutheran Church, 321 S. Madison St., on Wednesday after 4 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial service 7 p.m. at the church with the Pastor Julie Wrubbel-Lange officiating. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family.
