Marie C. John, 76, Green Bay resident, passed away on Jan. 3, 2010. She was born May 22, 1933 in DePere to the late Della Wilson. She graduated from East DePere High School and remained life-long friends with many of her classmates. Marie married Norman C. John on Oct. 29, 1955. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1990. She enjoyed spending time at their retirement cottage, traveling to Arizona and visiting her grandchildren. Survivors include three children: N. Casey (Renee) John, Pittsville, WI; Mary John (Rick) Standish, North Bay, Ontario; David (Rebecca) John, Mesa, AZ; five grandchildren: Alyssa, Rachael, Mariah and Austin John, Marguerite Standish; one sister, Nancy (Lawrence) Borchers, Green Bay; many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Doris (Don) Vanderheyden, Richard (Betty) John. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria Street. Memorial Mass at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dave Pleier officiating.
