Gerald J. Pierquet (Jerry), age 73, of Green Bay, WI died peacefully on Jan. 3, 2010 with his family at his side. Jerry was born to Clarence and Rosella Pierquet on May 11, 1936. Jerry entered the U.S. Navy in 1956 and served his country for two years. He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Spice, on June 28, 1958. Jerry owned and operated Jerry Pierquet Construction until his retirement. Jerry had a great love for the outdoors and spent countless hours at his cabin hunting, feeding the wildlife, tending to his ducks and running his Christmas tree farm. Jerry was also an avid Packer fan and rarely missed a game. Jerry is survived by his wife Patricia of 51 years, his daughter, Lori Pierquet (Charles Leurquin); son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Chris Pierquet; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Peter Koel; daughter Holly Wilde (Ken Schulze); four grandchildren, Carley, Mar’que, Katelyn and Cullen; four sisters, Joan (Robert) Peters, Mary (David) Lindstrom, Linda (Steve) Meyer, and Sandy Classon; one brother, Chris (Tina) Pierquet; and brother-in-law, Gene Pieschek; mother-in-law, Jeanette Spice, brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Judy Spice, Jack and Joyce Spice, brother-in-law, Dan Spice, sister-in-law, Jeanne Van Ess. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Rosella Pierquet, sister, Donna Pieschek, and father-in-law, Elton Spice; and brother-in-law, Jerry Van Ess. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial Service 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the Radiation and Oncology Departments at St. Vincent Hospital and Manor Care West.
